Solenn Kergoat is an Arlington VA-based ceramicist originally from Brittany, France, creating distinctive single-fired ceramics that span tableware, sculptural objects, and lighting. 

Her work is most recognized by its raw, organic aesthetic and warm earthy palette, achieved through the application of natural Burgundy ochre to chamotte stoneware and the innovative use of translucent porcelain paper in her lighting pieces. Unglazed exteriors reveal the honest texture of the clay, while glazed interiors ensure functionality.

Solenn's practice is rooted in sustainable making—each piece undergoes only one firing to minimize environmental impact—and draws inspiration from organic forms and the transformative qualities of light. These influences are expressed through hand-thrown and hand-shaped techniques, textured surfaces, and deliberate simplicity.
